Ask any property manager; complaints are a part of the job. The International
Facility Management Association (IFMA) recently surveyed its members to determine
the top 10 office complaints, and office temperature topped the list. Other
complaints rounding out the top 10 list include: not enough conference rooms;
not enough storage space in workstations; poor indoor air quality; no privacy
in workstations; inadequate parking; computer problems and noise levels.
The survey also revealed responses that scored high on the humor scale:
- “I don’t like the color of the extension cord.”
- “The bathrooms are boring.”
- “The arms on my desk chair are giving me breast cancer.”
- “The air in the building smells like bacon.”
- “Come get the mushrooms out of my carpet.”
- “My workstation isn’t located in a place that’s going to
me a promotion!
